Physiotherapy

Using advanced techniques and evidence-based care, Physiotherapists assess, diagnose, treat and prevent a wide range of health conditions and movement disorders. Physiotherapy helps repair damage, reduce stiffness and pain, increase mobility and improve quality of life.. You do not require a doctor's referral to see a Physiotherapist unless your insurance provider requires one for reimbursement.

Kristen graduated from D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2011 and practiced as an RMT from 2011-2020 in multi-disciplinary clinics. After an extended family break away from practice, she is excited to be back to help you live your best pain free life!

Kristen is trained in the John Barns Myofascial Release technique for basic and pelvic release. She hopes to continue furthering this training in the future and can either treat fully with this technique or partially (or of course, not at all). As a past competitive athlete and coach of 14 years, Kristen also understands training curves and associated injuries and how a team of physical therapists and coaches are an important ingredient to an athletes overall wellness and success.

Kristen is very excited to meet you!

RMT with additional training in post-surgical care for breast, chest, and body procedures.

With more than 30 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, I am passionate about helping people move and feel better in their bodies. My approach combines hands-on treatment with practical exercise and stretching suggestions to support function, recovery, and everyday comfort.

I have completed advanced training in post-surgical care for chest, breast, and body procedures, including breast cancer surgeries, gender-affirming top surgeries, and elective procedures such as reductions, lifts, augmentations, reconstructive surgeries and tummy tucks. This training focused on supporting healing after 18 types of surgeries and addressing common complications such as scar tissue, swelling, pain, and restricted movement.

My goal is to create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive space where all clients—including members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community—feel safe and supported in their healing journey and comfortable in their bodies. When I’m not treating, I’m likely playing Pokémon GO, making costumes, or working on increasing my overall geek level.

I look forward to helping you move toward your active lifestyle goals.

I love how the body works, how muscles adapt, and how everything is so integrated and harmonious. I care when someone is in pain or doesn’t feel able to do the things they need or love to do.

Movement Works operates with one driving focus: creating results that are obvious from the very first visit. I have extensive training and have continuously upgraded my skills in order to be the most effective I can be. Results matter!

My treatment style is grounded in Manual Therapy and complemented by Acupuncture where needed. This approach allows me to effectively treat pain and dysfunction, then design an exercise program to complement the care I have provided between visits.

It would be my pleasure to help you meet your goals.
